How it works

  1. Pick what you need and add your files: Office files (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio), Power BI files, PDFs, CSVs or a zip, up to 3 files and 25 MB in all. GuruFix checks your files right away and gives an instant price when it is a fix GuruFix can do; anything else, and Ongoing Excel help, goes to David with your files.
  2. We read the file. If something is unclear, you get up to three short questions.
  3. You see the plan and a fixed price before any work starts. Approve it to start the fix.
  4. You see the fix working: a short summary, a few values before and after, and a picture of the changed area.
  5. Pay the fixed price, then download the fixed file on the same page. The GuruFix guarantee covers it for 14 days.

If a job needs a closer look, David takes it over and emails you shortly. Nothing is charged until you agree on a price.

What GuruFix fixes

  • Formulas that show errors or wrong totals: #N/A, #REF!, #DIV/0!, lookups that miss, totals that skip rows.
  • Macros that stopped working or need a small change: a renamed sheet, a wrong range, a loop that skips rows, a message to add.

GuruFix checks every file right away. These go to David with your files instead, and he replies shortly with a fixed-price quote; nothing is charged until you agree on a price:

  • New reports, dashboards, macros, forms or tools built from scratch
  • Files other than Excel workbooks (.xlsx, .xlsm) and PDFs, such as .xls, .xlsb, CSV or Word
  • Scanned paper PDFs, and PDFs over 50 pages
  • Workbooks with Power Query, pivot tables or links to other workbooks
  • Macros that run when the workbook opens or call other programs
  • Larger fixes that need a closer look before they can be priced

How long does it take?

The price usually comes back within a minute, and most fixes take a few minutes. You can keep the page open, or leave and we email you a link when it is ready.

What if I’m not happy with the preview?

Then you don’t pay. You pay only after you have seen the fix and are happy with it.

Is my file safe?

Your files are used only for your request. They are kept for 14 days after delivery for instant fixes, then deleted, and you can ask us to delete them sooner.

Do you use AI?

We may use AI tools to help process your files. Your files are used only for your request and are not used to train AI models.

Terms for GuruFix

  • Fixed price first. You see the price before any work starts, and the price you approve is the price you pay.
  • Payment. You pay by a Stripe invoice before you download the fixed file.
  • Your files. Files are kept for 14 days after delivery for instant fixes and 30 days after delivery for custom work, then deleted. Files from a request that is never paid are deleted 30 days after its last activity. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
  • AI tools. We may use AI tools to help process your files. Your files are used only for your request and are not used to train AI models.
  • Support. 14 days for instant fixes and 30 days for custom work, from delivery.
  • The GuruFix guarantee. If the fixed file doesn’t do what the plan you approved says, tell us within 14 days of payment, with “Something not right?” on your results page or through our support page. David reviews it personally and makes it right, or refunds you in full. The guarantee covers the work in the plan you approved; a change or a new request beyond it gets its own fixed price.
