Your download should be in your browser’s download list
You are downloading the setup program for EG TDR Reporter (free edition), software that runs inside Microsoft Excel on Windows and prepares and checks the monthly GSA Sales Reporting (TDR) upload file. Setup shows the license agreement (EULA) before it installs anything. The one change it can make to Excel’s settings, adding its folder to Excel’s Trusted Locations, comes from a box that is ticked by default and that you can untick.

Rather not run a setup program, or your browser held the file back? Download the workbook on its own, a single .xlsm file. Nothing is installed and no Windows setting is changed: save it in a folder you back up, open it in Excel for Windows and allow its macros. It shows the same license agreement and checks in the same way.
What the setup program does
- Installs the workbook and its icon in Documents\ExcelGurus\EG TDR Reporter (you can choose another folder), Start menu shortcuts, a desktop shortcut you can untick, and its uninstaller and settings in your Windows user profile. No administrator rights.
- A box, ticked by default, adds that folder and its subfolders to Excel’s Trusted Locations, so the workbook normally opens with no macro warning. Untick it to leave Excel as it is.
- Setup itself sends nothing. The workbook shows the license agreement again the first time it opens; once you accept it there, it tells our server that a copy has been opened, then checks in normally once a day when it is opened. These messages carry the product, its version, whether a license is active and anonymous identifiers, including a random installation ID that Setup keeps in your Windows user profile. Two more messages are EG TDR Reporter’s own: one sends a GSA contract number and a month, the other the month a GSA upload file it made is for, when it was made and whether it is a correction, and neither sends anything else from your workbook. A licensed copy never sends a contract number. Apart from those two, the messages never carry anything from your spreadsheets (Privacy Policy).
- To remove it: Installed apps in Windows Settings (Apps & features on Windows 10 and early Windows 11), or Uninstall in the ExcelGurus Start menu folder. That takes the folder back out of Excel’s Trusted Locations and asks whether to delete EG TDR Reporter and your report data; No, the default, keeps them (uninstall steps).
Windows may show a SmartScreen notice the first time a new setup program runs. If it does, its details should name the publisher ExcelGurus LLC.
First thing to try
On the Home page click Set up a contract and add your GSA contract, its SINs and your price list. The first month you check with sales can be that contract’s free month; the workbook asks before it starts it.
